  • Helping your local community
  • Meeting new people from a variety of backgrounds
  • An opportunity to learn new knowledge and skills
  • Flexibility to volunteer on the days that suit you best.
  • Working together with a team of committed volunteers and paid staff.
  • A ladder to new career opportunities

Who can volunteer with the Citizens Advice Bureau?

Anyone can volunteer. You don’t have to come with formal qualifications or a vast amount of knowledge. Our training will help you become a confident adviser or receptionist with a constantly updated information system to work with.
And because we always want our staff to reflect the community they serve, we hope people of all ages and backgrounds will be interested in finding out more about volunteering with their local CAB.

We are recruiting volunteer receptionists to act as the initial triage in regards incoming enquiries from the public to the Bureau during our telephone reception opening hours of 9.00am to 3.00pm  Monday to Friday. The minimum time commitment is 3 hours per week.
