Due to the impact of the pandemic and ongoing cost of living crisis there has been a substantial increase in the demand for advice from members of the public all over Stirling district. Stirling Citizens Advice Bureau is therefore now seeking to recruit additional volunteers to train as triage receptionists.
What does Stirling Citizens Advice Bureau do?
Stirling Citizens advice Bureau offers free, independent, impartial and confidential advice to the public on a wide range of subjects. Examples of regular issues we receive enquiries on include: welfare benefits, money and debt; housing; employment; immigration, consumer and energy issues; relationship and family issues and legal matters.

Who can volunteer with the Citizens Advice Bureau?
Anyone can volunteer. You don’t have to come with formal qualifications or a vast amount of knowledge. Our training will help you become a confident adviser or receptionist with a constantly updated information system to work with.
And because we always want our staff to reflect the community they serve, we hope people of all ages and backgrounds will be interested in finding out more about volunteering with their local CAB.
We are recruiting volunteer receptionists to act as the initial triage in regards incoming enquiries from the public to the Bureau during our telephone reception opening hours of 9.00am to 3.00pm Monday to Friday. The minimum time commitment is 3 hours per week.
